Welcome to the Medical Service Bureau

Medical Service Bureau is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) agency, offering assistance to individuals and families who are low-income, live and/or work in Sedgwick County, uninsured and/or under insured and without resources to pay for prescription medication and vision care.

How We Help

Many individuals and families in our community struggle to obtain basic necessities many of us take for granted. They often have no prescription or vision care insurance; nor do they qualify for government programs. With limited resources, these medical needs can go unmet. We deliver important services to low income or fixed income persons of all ages, whether they are children, families, seniors, persons who are working or may have been laid off, the homeless and others who have temporarily fallen on hard times.

What We Offer

After determining eligibility, MSB is able to provide vouchers to local pharmacies for prescription medications, diabetic supplies, and Medicare Part D medication co-pays when emergent help is needed. Funding is limited for each individual, but a person can re-apply on an annual basis. For individuals who have the need for an ongoing prescription medication, MSB determines eligibility and enrolls persons in available pharmaceutical drug company programs. MSB also arranges for low cost eye examinations and if there is a need, covers the cost of prescription eyeglasses..
